1981 VW Scirocco Rally/Race Car

I am selling my rally car which I’ve owned since 2005.  It’s currently set up for rally with a CARS log book.  I also have a CASC-OR logbook for road racing.  It ran in 2wd Open.  Asking 6000$ CDN  OBO

It has a 1.8 litre 16v engine with Techtonics Tuning 268/276 cam set paired to a 4k short ratio transmission from an early GTI.  Also, no name header, Vibrant cat is installed at the rear of the exhaust.  Bilstein HD stuts/shocks all around.  Corrado springs up front and adjustable perches at the back.  Missing Link adjustable shifter linkage kit. Oil cooler.  Baffled oil pan.   

The shell is relatively clean seeing as the car has been stored indoors for at least the past 15 years (but likely longer – I didn’t know the owner before the previous owner).  There is some surface rust that requires periodic TLC.  The body panels are not perfect as it was involved in racing...  The two front fenders are crumpled.  I have two spares but remounted the crunched ones as they were still usable and replacement fenders are hard to come by.

Spares include a transmission; new driveshafts; used control arms, new rear beam bushings, new fuel pump; new master cylinder; new rear brake cylinder; used fenders; switch panel (with breakers); used gas tank (recently resealed/coated but not yet used); new rear wheel bearings; used steering column; used exhaust manifold; used mk3 starter; used front door windows & winder/cable mechanism; aftermarket door cards and some other odds and sods I can’t think of at moment and a bin of parts for converting it back to an 8v engine.  Timing belt and water pump were last replaced when engine was installed – less than 5000km ago.

Turn key ready for Rally Sprint or Rally Cross.  Requires new belts, seats & spill kit for CRC or OPRC stage rally events.
