Greg James VE3GVJ passed away yesterday after a two year battle with cancer.

Greg, a long-time member of PMSC, was involved for many years in rally as a co-driver, marshal, radio operator and course car co-driver. Greg volunteered many times at the Pines, for the last several years in the Hastings stages. His dedication was remarkable; for the last two years his wife, Shirley, came with him, as he was too ill to come on his own. Last year he requested a ‘non-essential’ radio assignment, as it was questionable whether or not he could make it. At that point he was just a shadow of his former self.

Visitation will be held on Friday, August 29 at Kayes Funeral Home from 10:00-11:00 AM, 539 George St N in Peterborough. The service will be at 11:00, followed by a luncheon across the street at George St. United Church.
