New Tait Farm Spectator Area?
11/13/10 at 09:54:41

What's all this about!!

I would sure love to check it out, does anyone have opinion on which would be better to go watch from? I wonder if it would not have as many people as it since it's new for 2010..

On the other hand, iron bridge area is always a great show because of the outside ditch!

The Tait Farm area was used a few years ago as the main spectator area because the Iron Bridge was being repaired. This area has one great corner although it's not as spectacular as the Iron Bridge Sweeper. However, you can safely get closer to the edge of the road than at Iron Bridge if you're into the rush of having the cars whip past just a few metres from you. It won't have concession stands or port-a-potties (I don't think) and the walk in from the on-road parking may be longer depending on how many people show up (a la Castledine's Corners).

Its a good location, if I remember correctly, I was in this location few years ago and take a winning picture for Tom McGeer and they made my winning picture to be a poster and big display at the Toronto AutoShow to shows for Subaru and Rallying in Canada.

I will for sure to go to this spot.

BTW, Will there be any booth for selling T-shirt in this Tait Farm area? Or only Iron Bridge area?
Please let me know, I would like to buy a T-shirt for my support  Grin!

Where will you stay this time Norman? Wish to see you at Tall Pine!!

See you guys this weekend!! Wink

Ben -I'll be all over the place, but I'll probably drop by Tait farm for one of the passes. I don't think there will be concession stands there, just at Iron Bridge and Golton.

This year I'm finally heading out to spectate Tall Pines for the first time. However, besides the spectator areas listed on the TP website I don't know where the other stages are located? I'm not sure whether I've overlooked a crucial link somewhere but I can't get an idea of where these stages are, how many of them there are, or how many times each one is going to be run through? Sad I believe the Golton SS is where they run the FourStar RX that I participated in once (a couple years back), and I see the directions to Iron Bridge and this new Trait Farm. But where are the rest of them? Or is that it? Please point me in the right direction. I want to get there early to set up by a nice sweeper or a hop. Thanks in advance. Smiley

WOW. Daniel. thanks for your scan, this is my winning photo!!

I still remember I was using my old Minolta SRT101 film camera with Tamron 70-210 f4-5.6 lens and ISO400 color film. If I use the ISO 100 film, the quality of the photo will be more nicer.

Thanks to bring my memory back!!!

Those are the only spectator areas.  You won't get into any other areas to spectate.
