Just wondering what is out there for rally software that i could install on my laptop ?

Also, has anyone ever tried to interface a serial cable to the spedo/odo , to plug it into a laptop.

I already have the laptop, i figure this could save me some cash instead of a rally computer.

I'll only be taking this car in nav rallies, so it doesn't need to be mounted to the dash or anything.
