I'm reading the rules for Rallycross...one line is making me think...

c)            Snap-on hubcaps, detachable fender skirts and trim rings must be removed.

What would an example of "detachable fender skirts" and "trim rings" be?

Would this be an example of fender skirts?  The bottom has plastic panels attached.

fender skirts - covers the top half of a wheel well, so that you could only see the bottom half of the tire,
