The 2022 edition of the Maple Leaf Rally Club’s Polar Bear Rally

February 2022!

The 2022 Polar Bear Rally has been CANCELLED due to the uncertainty of COVID-19 restrictions. We hope to be back in 2023.

Maple Leaf Rally Club’s Polar Bear Rally, the 2nd event in the 2020 Ontario Road Rally Championship series, is almost here, with simple navigating, and more real driving! Now, if we could only have some snow...

Length ~ 380 km. 10 pm to approx 6:30 am. Three legs – about 200 km, 100 km, and 80 km. Entry fee $95 – includes breakfast.

Registration opens at 8:00 pm at the Bancroft Fish & Game Club, with the first car out at 10 pm and returning about 6:30 am. There are two breaks, at 2 am and 4:30 am. We'll provide breakfast for everyone in the morning. Read over the supplemental regulations and register via the link above. You'll need proper snow tires, a safety triangle, and a red cross sign (a laminated sign is available at registration for $3).

Bear Cub Rally

For those who don't think they can handle eight and a half hours of overnight rally, Polar Bear Rally is offering the Bear Cub Rally. For a reduced price, $50, you get the first leg of the full rally with strictly distance-to-turn instructions. Four hours, 200 km, and some of the best roads in the area. The first car is out at 10 pm and returns about 2 am. You're on the road home by 3 instead of 7 or 8 am. We'll have small awards for the Bear Cub Rally leg. All the excitement without the endurance!

Should you be amped up on coffee or energy drinks and think you're ready to tackle the second and third legs, then top up the registration fee and you're in, breakfast included. You'll qualify for ORRC points as well.

Snow tires and safety triangle are mandatory for both the Polar Bear and Bear Cub Rallies.

Pre-register and pay online or by e-transfer (preferred) to, or pay cash at the door (not preferred).

Please read the Supplemental Regulations, then register for this must-do rally.
