Help Needed for Double Header Weekend June 25-26
06/15/16 at 06:09:58
As you likely know, MLRC is holding a double-header weekend on June 25-26.
Saturday will be the RallySprint. It is shaping up very well – the course is all set and it is looking like we will have at least 7 entries, which is the best yet as we grow this new aspect of rally.
For the competitors Registration opens at 9 AM and Recce will start at 9:30. Competition will begin at 12 noon and will finish by 4 PM. We should be able to have the workers fill in their spots as the Recce is going on with a bit of coordination over the radio, so if workers arrive by 10 AM we should be able to work it out.
The RallySprint is running on part of the Egan Creek complex. HQ will be at TC27 (junction of the main Egan Rd & Crooked Trail). From there the stages will run as follows – a small section on the main Egan Creek Rd from TC28 down to TC 29 (junction of Birch Lake Trail), then across Birch Lake Trail to TC33 (Mayo Lake Rd) then north on Mayo Lake Rd to just below RC151 (Browns Ln). It is broken into two stages of about 5 km length. Then they drive those two stages in reverse, go back to HQ for Service and repeat all that again for a total of just a bit under 40 km of stages.
Worker needs is less for RallySprint than for a regular rally. We will need 3-4 people at each stage end. Total of about 25-30 workers for everything. Timing will be much simpler than for a rally – just a watch for Starts and electronic shadow clock (no beams) at the Flying Finishes.
Sunday will be the RallyCross. Schedule and worker needs are as usual for that.
So we need help for both days. Please advise if you can assist on Saturday, Sunday or both. Please pass the word on to others who might come out.
We can provide assistance with for arranging inexpensive accommodations on Friday & Saturday nights. Contact me for details about that.
Please reply ASAP.
