Tall Pines for Android
11/11/14 at 13:08:02

The Tall Pines Android app has been upgraded this year.  A whole new look and feel.  As well as some new features.
Content is still being entered, so expect a few updates between now and the event.

Most important new feature is there will be results posted live during the event, so wherever you are, you will be able to follow the scores!

It's not going to happen for this year, but Blackberry and Windows Phone are very much in the plans.  It's just a question of finding the time to get it done...

My research online is indicating its possible but not yet easy.

Only the Passport is running BB OS ver 10.3 so far. Its supposed to be coming out soon for Z10's and Z30's. BB OS ver 10.2 has to have extra software loaded on it to run Android apps.

Since mine is a work phone - I am a little reluctant to go there!!!

I just pushed out a new update last night.  This has experimental support for the vehicle tracking system.

In order to make sure that's working on event day, I need as many people as possible to test that out.  Just update to the latest release, and open the Live Tracking page.  You should see a map with the Golton stage, and the Rec center pinned.  And maybe you should see a "test" car going around the golton stage at a constant 100km/h.
Then let me know if it works for you or not.

Edit: If it doesn't work the first time, try clearing the app data and then try again.

Thanks for giving it a go, yeah looks like everyone is getting the blank page.  I just published an update to fix that, you can get it from the app store now.

Bruce, this shows how to get there:

It's still letting you download the old one?  That's not going to be particularly useful..
