Hello Rally Enthusiasts,

1.      The Black Bear Rally work day is set for Saturday June 21, we need help with notices,signs and rally route maintenance. If you can help out please contact David Maynard at blackbear.volunteers@mlrc.ca .

2.      We have received a good response to our first request for volunteers to help run the Black Bear Rally. Many more volunteers are still needed so come on out on Saturday July 12th and Sunday July 13th  and enjoy the fine summer weather and great rallying.  Rally headquarters will again be at the community centre in Gilmour and we will be using the same roads as last year for the stages. Registration and recce will be on Saturday July 12th and the rally stages will be raced on Sunday. Black Bear will also need some volunteers on Saturday to help with recce and registration and more on Sunday to run the stages. A barbecue for volunteers and competitors will be held on Saturday night and camping space is available at the community centre. If camping out is not your style there is plenty of accommodation available in the area. If you would like some assistance with arranging accommodation please let us know.

Black Bear is a multi road rally, in order to successfully run the event again, we need:

•         amateur radio operators,
•         timing marshals,
•         traffic control marshals and
•         crowd control marshals
•         we also need some help on Saturday the 12th  to help with taping, signage, arrowing and recce.

This rally has been very lucky in attracting dedicated volunteers, without whom the Black Bear Rally could never have been a success year after year. We couldn't do it without you! Please reply directly to:
