Geez its slow in here!

36 Entries now - pretty good. Hopefully a few more show and we break 40.

Getting Ready (just have to wire the lights):

Made with the parts from an office chair, my old light bar and a piece of flat stock aluminum - total cost $5.89.  Grin

Right - we have Nathalie now signed up to run with Pat. That will be good to see - been a while since they ran together.

We also now have Max Riddle/Darren Garrod - Car #11.

There is another team entered from Alberta, but they aren't on the list yet as their payment hasn't been completed.

I see we are up to 37.

Looks like just flurries from here on in but colder temps so roads should be hard.

I see Leo was teasing his social media followers today. Says he has a co-driver lined up but letting the masses guess at who will be riding in the left seat of a TBD car.

OK I was reading something about right hand drive cars prior to that. Apparently didn't catch that

At any rate, I see that Beland doesn't have a car listed either. So I  would suspect there might be more then the one-off event with Can-Jam for him.

Patrick Walsh will be co-driving for Crazy Leo. Will he bring something new and exciting (WRC maybe) for us to ogle over, and put Beland in the Beast?

Or Leo in the Beast, and Beland in Bastard?

Hi guys, just curious about a few things that I can't find on the tallpinesrally.com site.

First: Is it permissible to spectate the rally from a different location on the route, provided that it matches with the safety info posted on the site?

Like, for example, near the stop sign on Iron Bridge stage?

I don't plan on standing in the way of the traffic, but perhaps farther along in the safest location I can find.

2: Is this considered a safe location?

*insert "Rally of the Tall Pines 2011 Iron Bridge" video by CosnerCopiloting, at 2:50-3:10, on YouTube*

It's somewhere on Landon Road
More specifically, I believe it's between Hastings Heritage Trail and Bronson Station, along that long straightaway.

If at all possible, I'd like to stand in a safe spot somewhere near there. It looks like a highly interesting spot, but I want to be sure that it's a safe/acceptable location first, so as not to interrupt the rally.

Andrew, thanks for asking your question.

Spectating is permitted under the following situations:

1. Spectating at a location where the Rally has Marshall's

2. Special access granted to Media. Media are accredited and must submit information in advance.

3. Landowners along the route or a guest of the same.

Wherever you choose to spectate, please follow the directions of the marshalls and STAY SAFE.

In regards, to the specific locations you are asking about, I have already replied to you over on TSC. There are areas that landowners have concerns about people assembling. We are guests in the Town of Bancroft and the other host municipalities. We need to respect that to maintain the relationships built up over the years.

Just checked the entry list for updates.

Too bad the Vincents are a scratch from the entry list.

And Leo in an '04? Is that Bastard? Or the car Martin usually drives?
