Tow Rig

Just to be clear - this is not mine!

I got a good look at Ryan's WHAMBULANCE at Black Bear this year and thought it was a good set-up. I was cruising past a local auto recycler and spotted this:

It is decaled up for a small township fire dept. south of North Bay (Nipissing Village). It is sitting in the scrapyards "driver" section and there has been no visible signs of moving it so it may be for sale.

What I could see:

- 7.3L Powerstroke diesel (that would be the older, good Turbodiesel) - good for towing
- about 335k kms on it. Diesel should run way more than that.

If someone is interested drop me a line and I could make some enquiries, or I can give you the number of the yard where it is and you can call.

Wow, very cool. Awning and everything, too bad they took out the genny, but I'm sure it'd be easy to put one back in, looks like the wiring is still there and such. Wonder if that stack on the back and separate fuel filler is for a diesel heater?

Oh, having a turbo would be nice too...

Interior set-up is nice. Good catch on the stack, I never even thought about it possibly having a heater. Might be an antenna???

I didn't realize yours wasn't a turbo.

Here is another one:

https://www.govdeals.com/index.cfm?fa=Main.Item&itemid=1&acctid=8170

Keep in mind this is a NON-turbo IDI diesel. Same as what Ryan has. They are slow but TOUGH!

This is about an hour north of North Bay, ON if anyone is not familiar with where Temagami is.

I am going to watch what this one goes for!
