Tall Pines Worker Notice Nov 21 12
11/21/12 at 20:56:08

This will be the final full group notice to workers of the 2012 Rally of the Tall Pines.

Most of you have checked your Worker Assignments and a number of changes have been made as a result of your inquiries. We have also made some adjustments due to volunteers dropping out and new ones registering. As of this afternoon, we are just 6 workers below the total we had last year. If no more drop out, we will be OK.

For any further changes, please contact me directly by email at  ross@tallpines rally.com

You Thursday & Friday volunteers have all been sent dedicated messages, so you should be all set.

For the HAM radio operators the key frequencies are 147.285+ (tone 118.8) 146.610- (tone 100.0) and 146.580 simplex.

Did you hear that Muffy Davies (one of our Medics) won the ride with Crazy Leo? In fact there was such a good response that I hear Leo is picking another ride winner tomorrow – must be a registered volunteer to qualify. That’s pretty good odds, don’t you think?

Thanks to Tim Hortons (Bancroft), coffee, donuts and cold drinks will be served at 8:45 P.M. on Friday to all Workers just before the  9:00 P.M. General Worker Meeting. As always we have tons of great prizes for workers this year, including a kayak from Clearwater (Ian & Michelle).

Be sure to attend the post-rally feast at the Bancroft Fish & Game Club on Saturday evening.  A great meal will be served until everyone is fed – free to all workers. Starts at 7 PM and goes until everyone is finished their work and fed.

If you have not paid for your subsidized accommodations please bring cash to the Worker Meeting. We have a dedicated Worker Registration table this year, headed up by Carole Koch. If you owe money, she will be happy to receive it.

A new feature this year is a food concession at Rally HQ – Friday evening you can get pulled pork on a bun, a full breakfast on Saturday morning and pulled pork & chili at lunchtime on Saturday.

Have you checked out the online Spectator Guide? Just go to the website at www.tallpinesrally.com and go to the link on the front page.

Another new feature this year is brought to us courtesy of the Rallye Perce Neige folks. They will be going around with hot drinks and snacks for workers who are in a location for multiple stages. If they leave a thermos with you, be sure to bring it back to Rally HQ at the end of your day.

Reminder that we need help on Sunday at 10 AM for cleanup. With lots of volunteers it will all be done by noon.

Thank you  in advance for your contribution to the success of the 2012 Rally of the Tall Pines.  It is shaping up to be a great event. Check out the great entry at www.tallpinesrally.com  then to ‘Compete’ and ‘Entry List’.

Do not hesitate to email me if you have questions
