I've got two 'D' vents installed in the Scirocco.  No chance to test them yet (they were replacements for the old leaky vents the car originally came with), but they went in very well.  Assembled with that sealant, they look like they'll never leak unless you leave them open.  

Nice to have vents that open both forward and backward.
