HELP!!! I have a question.

I am having a heck of a time finding a place to run the power wire for my HAM through the firewall and to the battery. The car is a 99 VWassat.

I have checked the wiring diagrams and there is 4 guage wire directly from the battery (hot all the time) that feeds the relay panel under the dash and a ground nearby. Would I be able to just hook-up here instead of going to the battery?

Just be aware of the fact that you may be adding extra load when you've got a bunch of other stuff running.
