Just out with Grandmum for a Sunday ride. At least that is what we told mum!
My two boys are planned as 1) Co-driver and 2) Crew Chief. I just gotta grow them up some first.

Must be nice to have a nice wide spot for your control, here I was having to park IN the ditch!

Yeah but you didn't have the farthest checkpoint out in the boonies either. Location was special request to organizer - don't want "black beauty" getting any stone chips on her
Notice there sure wasn't any room at your checkpt for competitors to pull over safely either.

Well, it worked out alright, there wasn't any major traffic on that road.

Hahaha... just had a vision of Ryan parking his car, running a checkpoint, and an hour later, as he goes to leave, discovering the car has sank to the floorboards!
hehehehe

It was frozen when I went in, and thankfully it didn't warm up enough for me to sink in.
I was really slow and deliberate when I backed it in there, and while we were there a bunch of pickups/trucks went by so I figured I could wave down help if I really needed it. Also, we had almost 2 hours from closing time to opening of our next control, so I could work on it for a while if needed. Meh, it's not a rallycar if you're not willing to get it stuck on occasion

Sitting in my furnace room, waiting to be installed
Once I get some time and a warm-ish weekend, they'll be going on, don't you worry! She'll be riding on Hotbits shortly too!

I must say the 3rd gen is being trained really well by the 1st gen. Besides a sticker and a smile, they even offered me their snacks when I arrived at their CP.
Thanks again guys and I'll return the favour the next time I see you at a CP.

I remember that check point. Its the one where I had to turn around and come back. I wasn't even sure if it was a check point. My first thought was, "did somebody spin off the road already?",
. Lesson learned my first time out.
