nhibbert suggested i check this out, and I'm glad i did.
Do you NEED a helmet or is it just a suggestion?
If you do need one, what kind of helmet is it? Where can it be purchased or rented?
Ryan, and Norm, you guys know if anyone else from the TSC is going up?

James, I got a tonne of people from TSC who expressed interest, Toshi, Lancer Sau, Keebs, Nuwan, Ben Lam, the list goes on. Come on up man, have some fun!
Now, as far as helmets go, your friendly neighbourhood CARS rulebook states for RallyCross you require a minimum of a Snell M or SA 90 certification, though I would recommend nothing older than an M 95. I'm currently attempting to get a new helmet myself, but there seems to be a bit of a shortage.

Ryan...if push comes to shove. Let me know. I've got a pile of helmets around that you could borrow.
Is there a need to pre-register for this event?
Just i know that from TSC we have alot of interest, and i'm sure no one wants to drive all the way to bancroft to turn around and not have any fun.
Now...back to putting the motor and tranny back in the justy

Thanks Ryan that's the info i needed.
I'm gonna hit a couple of shops out here in the next day or so to price some out, but if it turns out that they cost too much, then i may be one of the people to beg Chris to follow through on his offer and bring some loaners out to the event.

I have NO idea where Bancroft is, but there have to be SOME sideroads going on up?

Thanks Chris, I may have to take you up on that, since CSC told me today that most of the helmets in the shipment they expect on friday are already spoken for. I'll let you know monday at the latest.
Online entry is expected to be up shortly, stay tuned.
As for a TSC convoy, sounds like a good idea (just don't pass any electric cars on the way!), though I won't be able to be part of it as I'll be up there on saturday night. I'm greencrewing the next ORRC event in Ottawa on saturday morning, then heading to Bancroft after.

Sideroads near Bancroft? Nyeah. Only some of the best dirt roads in Canada (but, behave, they're even nice at a 'ma and pa' pace).

I am exploring the possibility of leaving my car in Bancroft over the course of the series.
I would need a place to leave the car (free or rented) from from august 22nd to October 17th. If you have any ideas let me know.
I was also wondering if anyone would be travelling to the event either from the North Bay area or anywhere along the hwy 11/400 corridor (Huntsville, Barrie...)
Just trying to see if my idea is feasible and practical.
Thanks, Anthony

Holy Crap...that looks like a long drive...in a good way!
Since this is taking place on a Sunday, is there any idea of time this event will be run at? Or is it suggested to take the next day off?

The runs will start at noon on each Sunday, wrapping up around 4 or five PM. You can be at work/school on Monday morning unless you destroy your daily driver.
Website will be up tonight. Online entry should be online soon, but you do not have to register online (although it would be appreciated!)

Thanks Alan, that's good to hear it's getting started so early. I don't want to be driving through Toronto too late on Sunday or i'll go mad in traffic.
Do you guys typically take 62 north from the 401? or smaller roads all the way up through Peterburough and such?

Most of us I think take the 35/115 to Hwy 7, then across 7 to 28, and up 28 into Bancroft. The pit location is just south of Bancroft off 62, so you can also scoot across 620 if you wish, kinda 50/50 which is faster.

I have to say that Hwy 620 is a great road. Our b&b for last years Tall Pines was on Old Hastings and we took 620 east across from 28. Some nice wide rolling sweeping turns!!
And it puts you on the right side of Bancroft!!

thanks for putting up the rules and such.
One question...will there be a percentage penalty for gravel tires like there has been in the past?
