Winter Rally Question (why night?)
11/12/2 at 22:01:34

This is a simple question, but maybe the answer's complicated. Who knows?

Why are the majority of winter rallies late night/overnight? Hmmm...Is it because there is less traffic? Does it have something to do with snowplows? Is it easier to see in the dark? I've always wondered.  Maybe I can get the answer here...

Hi Brian,

It is strictly a safety reason. Less traffic, whether automobile, snowmobile, or pedestrian. Plus your vehicle headlights alert other road users.
