Title: co-driver needed for GCFR rally sprint Post by Anthony_T on 06/12/15 at 10:44:40 Looking for a co-driver for the Galway Cavendish rally sprint. Your own helmet, suit & HANS are required unfortunately. I am not going to bring home trophies or a bent car, just to have a little sanctioned fun :). Anthony |
Title: Re: co-driver needed for GCFR rally sprint Post by Anthony_T on 07/20/15 at 21:44:45 Still looking. Really hoping someone can help me out with this... even a equipment loan could help - though a live candidate is even better :) |
Title: Re: co-driver needed for GCFR rally sprint Post by RyanHuber on 07/21/15 at 11:56:37 Anthony, I'm servicing but could potentially loan helmet/Hans/Suit depending who it is... |

Title: Re: co-driver needed for GCFR rally sprint Post by Dave Cotie on 07/22/15 at 11:58:46 Peter Watt has also offered up the use of personal safety equipment over on Facebook, if someone wants to try co-driving. |
Title: Re: co-driver needed for GCFR rally sprint Post by GuyB on 07/23/15 at 10:05:29 You still need to have a valid cars liscence for this? I wonder if Shane Bozic could use my stuff and do it like he did at Black Bear. I'd have to ask him if he's free too. |
Title: Re: co-driver needed for GCFR rally sprint Post by Derek Vincent on 07/23/15 at 10:51:42 You only need a RallySprint license which is like 10 dollars, be a member of an RSO club and you just fill out a form... http://rallysport.on.ca/index.php?fuseaction=site.details&id=931 D. |
Title: Re: co-driver needed for GCFR rally sprint Post by Dave Cotie on 07/23/15 at 20:17:51 Well thanks to the generosity of John Vanos for lending me some equipment and Anthony for being willing to take on a total newb, it looks like I am going to take a shot at the Silly Seat for the GCFR Rallysprint! |
Title: Re: co-driver needed for GCFR rally sprint Post by Bruce VA3BRS on 07/23/15 at 21:02:47 Congratulations Dave. Now you get to know what it's like from the stage road and not from the side lines. |

Well done, Dave! You're always out there helping others . . . it's time you had some fun too. :) Jeannie |

Title: Re: co-driver needed for GCFR rally sprint Post by Dave Cotie on 08/04/15 at 22:14:28 Well the final outcome - I fit (barely). No padding in the seat and Anthony will have to get a little more shoulder strap length for me, but I can get in the car and put the helmet on. The HANS is tight going on but good once it is on. |
Title: Re: co-driver needed for GCFR rally sprint Post by GuyB on 08/04/15 at 23:16:43 NO PADDING! at least the road is pretty smooth! |

Plenty of Padding on Co-driver! ;D |
