Title: FS: Subaru Impreza Sti Rally Car Post by donalcrookerallying on 04/25/15 at 12:20:34 Hi All, I bought this car in gravel spec in late 2013, I stripped it back, replaced every bushing had the suspension rebuilt and fitted a brand new interior, with seats/belts/dash/gauges etc. With the quick rack, DCCD pro, and the parts mentioned above this car handles like it is on rails. I also done a lot of work on weight reduction / distribution, a lot of lighter bodywork panels (STi hood / bumper beam etc) and a lot of new panels to have the car looking its best. (v5/6 front end / spoiler etc) I also wanted to ensure reliability so its fitted with a AOS, oil pressure gauge etc and is not tuned super aggressive. I drove this car at ESPR 2014, a two day Tarmac Rally finished 3rd AWD day 1, day 2 & overall, with a few 2nd fastest times in there. It didn’t miss a beat in two days’ worth of rallying. The current turbo is quite new, but is not pushing the car too much. (~215 at the wheels, tuned on 94). Great car to start AWD, or if ready for more power, upgrade the turbo, tune & run on race gas…. Almost brand new seats/belts (OMP RS-PT wrap around and Scroth belts custom made in Germany), all safety pieces present – ready to rally! Ideal Targa Newfoundland car either. Title: Re: FS: Subaru Impreza Sti Rally Car Post by donalcrookerallying on 07/16/15 at 14:15:05 Hi all, Looking for some advice. I am getting alot of interest in the car from the US (sure with the dollar its a cracking time for them to buy up here!!), but most buyers try figure out how to import it, then give up. Has anyone ever successfully exported a Rally Car to the US??? Is it possible? Any tips / or how to do it that i could give potential buyers who enquire? Many thanks ! Donal |
