I am looking for an 02-07 Impreza chassis to swap my 02 WRX drivetrain into.

Preference would be in the following order:

- Saab 9-2X
- WRX wagon
- WRX Sedan
- RS or OBS Wagon
- RS Sedan
- 03-08 Forester
- Others?

Looking for as rust free as possible, but they are Subaru's in Canada, they all have some.

I am looking for something affordable - I don't consider a car with a lunched motor to be worth $2 or $3K. Not in a rush - work planned for next spring/summer but I thought I would start looking now.

Dave, just saw this posted on the GTA Subaru parts board on facebook (think you need to be a member to see posts there) :

Just popped the engine i believe on my 2005 impreza 2.5rs , it is black on black, 5spd, wrx steering wheel, tein springs, carbon fibre gas door, 289,000km on the shell only rust is surface on the roof. I will also include a ver8 jdm sti wing with 3rd brake light, sti front bumper caps, sti door cards, kaminari sideskirts all in excellent condition. Asking price is $3000 for everything. Dont like my price? Buy a bugeye wagon for 3k if you're scared of a $500 engine and putting it in positive comments only.

It is clean. PO's wife ran it out of oil. Bad rod knock.

Lots of little scratches, I am hoping they will buff out. Time to borrow my buddies engine hoist and get to work. First I have to get the RF axle changed on my wife's Cabriolet and get it out of the garage.
