The Pines Committee is looking for a small generator and a few lights to light up the jump area in the Golton Spectator stage. Any leads for a generator to borrow or rent inexpensively would be appreciated.

Any requirements for size of the generator/lights?

I might be able to get a generator with those painters lights which should light it up fairly well...

That should be good. We only need two or three lights - probably a 1500 watt generator would cover it.

Hmm... can't get a rental place to "sponsor" the event with free rental of a lighting setup? I'm thinking one of those big units they use when doing highway construction at night. :D

Doug, I'm pretty sure we're getting some of those already, however my idea for the jump, since it's more out in the middle where it'll be dark regardless, was to have lights on either side of the jump landing, to light up the sides and under the cars as they're in the air. They'd have to be on the ground to do it right I think.

Hmm... need a bunch of those spot lights that with the spike to stick in the ground. (Throw in some red/green/blue's for a funky effect!)

Yes we're already using everything the local rentall has plus some huge raised lights with their own generator. As Ryan said, now I'm looking to light up the new jump.
